Well, that's it, folks. The curtain is closing. It's been a fun ride, but as with all good things, it must now come to a close.

First up, Shira. Without her, OC wouldn't even exist. She's poured in hours and hours of work into this project, and I can't thank her enough. Still, I gotta try. Thank you for your hard work, Shira. I really appreciate it.

Next up, the two other people who have been unwittingly sucked into service as characters. You both know who you are, and thanks for putting up with it.

Kudos to Keenspace. Gave us lots of coverage, and space, and bandwidth. Thanks, guys.

Goodbyes just have a way of sneaking up on you. One moment, you're coasting along, everything pretty much the way it's always been - the next, you're one step away from the point of no return and there's no way you can stop or slow down.

Last week, I finished my final class ever at Dawson College without any fanfare. My teacher took one look at the final project I'd been slaving on all week, praised it, and told me I was free to go. Two minutes later, ta da - I'm out on the street.

I don't expect much fanfare will come from the end of Odd Concepts either... It's been a fun year and many people have told me they're going to miss the strip. That's all that matters, really.

Those thinly disguised caricatures of me, Zanshin and our friends took on personalities of their own, and for over a year, they let me enjoy their company. I didn't always understand them but I looked forward to their weekly visits all the same. I loved watching their faces appear under the strokes of my pencil, and giving them additional life with my pen. It was a challenge to try to make funny scripts visually amusing as well. And now, I try my best to face a final challenge - to say a simple goodbye...

So long. I'll miss you all.

Oh, and Zanshin, for all the good times, the late-night emails, and the brainstorming...
